quiet, empathetic, and perceptive. rohan is hesitant to trust others or open up due to his compromised past, but is virtually unreadable to the people around him because of his unshakable calm. he habitually smiles, is tall, beautiful, and well-built, and retains an air of humble mystery; it's an image rohan has worked obsessively to sculpt.

rohan spent a majority of his youth as the personal bodyguard of tadayo hojo, an ambitious, bloodthirsty warlord with a deceptively kind demeanor. rohan's wide range of skills outside of being a warrior, coupled with his relaxed, likable personality, made him a favorite of tadayo; rohan did not see a way out of this relationship, and though his every need and want was granted, he asked for nothing and sought to end his tenure as a warrior. tadayo held a particular soft spot for rohan that quickly devolved into obsession, to the point that he revived rohan in a ritual after rohan had been beheaded on the battlefield. as a result, rohan was afflicted with a vampiric curse; he can no longer eat food, and must feed like an assassin bug on other people with a proboscis-like tongue.
